Chester

About 2000 years ago, the Romans built a fortress at Chester. Today, Chester is one of Britain's most beautiful cities with fascinating architecture including the 10th century cathedral and the largest Roman amphitheatre in Britain. A day out could include:

- Tour around the ancient walls of the city led by a Roman Soldier

- Visit to the Roman museum

- Picnic in one of the City’s beautiful parks (weather permitting)

Liverpool

Manchester

As a centre of the UK’s Industrial Revolution, Manchester has a rich scientific heritage.

A day out could include:
